Spread the Word
So there’s this Multi Channel Network called Defy Media that recently went under. And it turns out that they stole money (about $1.7 million) from over 50 Youtubers, one of which being The Game/Film Theorists. I know a lot of people aren’t on Tumblr anymore, but I thought I would do my part and spread the word. Whether you like Matpat or not, have a look at this video. The bit of the story that most people are hearing is simply “DEFY Media shut down” but there’s so much more to the situation than that and I honestly feel so bad for Mat and all the other creators
This is not okay, and this needs to be spread. We can’t let our favorite content creators get scammed and taken advantage of like this. Spread the word and spread this video so banks and MCNs will LISTEN.

They stole $1.7 million from 50 different YouTubers and are holding that money ransom.

But we need to raise awareness for our creators.
This affects a lot of people such as Smosh, Game Theory, and so many others and we need to make sure this never happens again.
