My brain just came up with a really sad theory as to why Ian may have been at the support group so many years in the future (not saying he wouldn’t have been anyways though), but canon might debunk it if I’m safe, wasn’t there a weird bit of canon in SJA that implied Ian and Barbara were immortal somehow?? (I never got that far in, so please correct me if I’m wrong lol). My brain said: “Maybe Barbara died recently and his time with the Doctor, though amazing on its own, also reminds him of his adventures with her too (and was likely when him and Barbara started falling in love with one another and becoming close friends and not just fellow teachers.)” I’m literally tearing up, I’m so sorry, guys.
