Anti had set out in the morning expecting the day to be uneventful, but as he leaned against the alley wall with a distant figure in his sights, he found himself forced to reconsider that idea.
His hood was drawn up over his head to obscure his features, though there were few people around that might see him. At any other time he might have considered stopping to corrupt a couple, but not today. Today, his sights were set on a far greater prize.
It was a puppet that had spotted them. With most other Watch members Anti would have let that same puppet dispose of them accordingly, and that would have been that. When he’d realised who they’d found, however, he’d simply had to go and deal with it in person... especially given the location, and what the person had been seen doing in that location.
It looked like the Watch’s great defender wasn’t as great as they’d like him to believe.
Anti waited until El had gotten a little nearer before pushing away from the wall, stepping out into the path in front of them. He made no move towards them, however, merely raising his head and offering them a lazy smile while he waited for the realisation to kick in.
