Not sure how many of you have been follow the Blood of Sinners, especially since i became a lot less active, but I’ve a hit a dillemna.

Who should Eleanor end up with?

The blood of sinners is the second to last installment in the Chronicles of El, excluding whatever side stories I might share. There will be another stories about El post-resurrection, which brings her character arc to a close. The three who could realistically be end-game are Julian, Muriel, and Asra. I used to have a clear-cut answer, but through writing and planning the future story, I’m wondering who it should be.

So, dear readers, what do you think? Where will El’s personal journey take her? Who will be the best companion for that journey? Will they be the same person who fits best in the end? Which lover is best? Please avoid plot events, for the sake of originality.

Okay, so I played Lucio's new book and here's my hot take.

Lucio's crimes are not redeemable. He can't apologize what he did away. No ifs, ands, or buts.

We know that every route has to do with MC and their love helping their LI grow as a person, and become better. So. How can Lucio become better?

On the flip side, the reverse is when the LI gives in to their worst impulses. For Lucio, this means he acts in his own interest without regard for others.

So we ask ourselves, what are Lucio's greatest flaws? Why does he do the bad things that he does?

Here's my two cents: Lucio's personality traits aren't what makes him a villain. His beliefs, stemming from his experiences, are.

Lucio is from a warrior clan, where the leader earns their rank through battle. Lucio doesn't necessarily want to be violent, he believes that it's necessary for anyone in a leadership role.

The things Lucio does, he appears to genuinely believe are the correct things to do. He doesn't seem to understand how it affects others, or else he thinks it can't be helped.

We have seen in this last book that he's capable of kindness, generosity, and he can be quite charming and funny. He can be really fun to be around. (Not to say that he's not vain. He is VERY vain.)

So, Lucio's upright involves changing his beliefs, which are deeply rooted in his life experiences.

How to change those beliefs? How to make him forgivable in the eyes of the other characters?

My upright theory: Memory Wipe

In the end, Lucio will come to love MC, he will come to regret/understand his crimes. This will probably happen in both endings, as in every route so far MC and the LI always end up together.

In the upright, I think Lucio will cut a deal to either save MC or save the City. I think he'll give up his memories and maybe MC will get theirs back, when everything gets returned to it's rightful place.

He may or may not know that's what he's giving up, but he will know he could perhaps be seriously hurt or killed.

I don't think the upright involves him dying or being exiled. That would be a fucky trick to pull.
