Deep Hadal had anger issues growing up. As an undiagnosed autistic kid with an abusive father, he learned quickly that biting back was the only way to make the bullying stop - and that led into anger being his first response to every problem. He got a one-night-stand pregnant in college and was essentially forced into a relationship with her to get to be part of the kid's life. A bad fight with his brothers in front of her led to Deep hitting Yak, which resulted in her blocking his number and getting a no-contact order served to Deep without warning. Deep spent a year in the Australian outback alone. He wanted to be somewhere he couldn't be triggered and hurt someone he loves again. Truthfully, he hadn't expected to make it through the summer at all.

Yak was born when Deep was 14. By the time Yak was 4, Deep had been kicked out as soon as he was an adult, and his mother dissociated so heavily he barely knew her at all. Deep and Ash were not allowed to see him, and although they managed to slip around their father's attention on occasion, Yak was very much alone with their abusive father for much of his childhood. When he was twelve years old, Yak made a dangerous plan, and managed to get into some shady circles. Using his father's money, he bought hard drugs off a man who didn't care that he was lying about his age and framed his father for drug possession. If the authorities may not have been any help to him or to his brothers, but they were all-too-willing to believe a drug abuser could also be a child abuser. There were discrepancies noted, of course... but after seeing Yak's medical examination post-arrest, they weren't inclined to look very deeply into them.

Ashton, the eldest brother, was five years old when Deep was born. They grew up together, and having each other and their mother, things were mostly manageable, even good some days - aquarium trips, days at the park, things that they could look back on fondly. But when Ash turned 18, his father kicked him out of the house without so much as a warning. He'd anticipated it, thank god, and had squirreled away just enough money from odd jobs to get a lease in a shitty apartment until he could get a permanent job. Deep was alone in that house, and Ash couldn't help him. It was all he could do to tell Deep to just hold on a few more years. A year later, when Yak was born, Ash knew there was no more waiting - he had to get them *out*. He couldn't subject another brother to 18 more years of that hell. He got into college and, several years later, found himself with job as a CPS counselor. He set up Yak's trust fund. But everything he tried to get Yak out would have only made the situation worse - he couldn't handle it himself without the court declaring a conflict of interest. He tried for *years,* only for Yak to finally reach a breaking point and handle it himself. Their father had never had a drug problem, and Ash doubted one had started - he knew Yak had to be involved, but has never had it confirmed. He's raised Yak since he was twelve years old. After all that time and all that care, Yak is more his son than his brother.

Now, in the current time of our rps, Deep is in a committed relationship with aerbitions' modern Poseidon, Anatolios. They're expecting a child together, which raised a LOT of pain and uncertainty for Deep for the entirety of the pregnancy, but Deep adores him with all his heart.

Yak is in a relationship with jayden-0kayden's modern Poseidon, Pearl Mariano. He's currently in college studying law, but he hates it with a passion and, with the encouragement of Pearl and his brothers, has recently decided to make the switch to animal husbandry so he can raise farm birds instead. He's always been very happy with birds.
