#deeper connection

Considering all the historic interest in supposed tension between Gabriel-era Genesis and Collins-era Genesis, it’s not often noticed that I play with Peter a lot at this time. If I may be so bold, I’m the best drummer he knows. He can rely on me. With Peter being a drummer himself, he’s pretty picky.

But our connection is deeper than the merely musical. Contrary to what people might like to think, there was never any bad blood between us. We were great friends. But as they say in the muckier newspapers, never let the truth get in the way of a good story. After leaving Genesis, he may have occasionally have voiced his feelings—“Finally, I’m free of the bastards!” (I’m paraphrasing)—but he didn’t have anything against any of us personally. Within Genesis he and I bonded closely. I was someone he could always rely on to be his stooge for comedy routines during his stories. Unlike he and Tony Banks, we had no baggage. Perhaps Peter was pleased that it was me that took over vocal duties in the school band, rather than some new-boy incomer. Not that he ever voiced an opinion before, or after, his leaving. He always just seemed to accept my assuming the frontman role. Sure, compared to the Charterhouse chaps, I was a grammar-school oik. But I was his grammar-school oik.”

Later on in the evening, Stephen retired to his room, showered and meditated.. He sits in on the floor on at the foot of his bed, in just his pajama pants.. it’s a rather hot and humid night so he decided to keep his upper body bare. 

Arista’s information is open in front of him.. and what he found was astounding. 

Arista Swanson, Age 27..

Born in the Samoan islands, her father is Samoan born and raised. He worked as a dragon fruit grower, but also specialized in herbal healing and medicine. Arron Swanson.

Stephen stopped reading and sat back, his body absorbing the shock and wonder... “Wow, Arista.. baby... you’re more unique and incredible then I thought” He thinks to himself, releasing a breath of air. No wondering during their delicious interludes, when she looked him in the eyes.. she’d look so different, almost as she wasn’t real.. That sparkling glitter look in her beautiful amber eyes, the way they swirled...

Her skin, the way she softened under his touch.. as if he had real silk in his hands, it’s beautiful.. To top it off, her touch.. oh my, no wonder he was like a purring jungle cat.. she had him under her total control... probably the sexiest feeling he’d ever felt..

“I prefer blended if you don’t, mind.. Stephen” a extremely teasing familiar voice says in his mind... She’s giggling.

Stephen opens his minds eye and train of thought, slightly startled... “Arista?”

True love is you'll want them to be happy even not with you, putting someone before your yourself but not where it takes from your own self love but adds to it. Love is comfortibilty and the sense of home or you feel just at peace with that person, you don't want them to be held back in life only to progress, even if your not there yet... You loving them for their soul and not just shell of body
