The Taunter But With THX Deep Note
Not that the Deep Note ever seemed too loudĀ to me, but it makes sense... even if youāre not in a theatre.
Tweet version here.
Alternate tweet version (either in the theater or at home/THXĀ āGenesisā) here.

Does anyone else hate the THX logo sound effect, aka the "Deep Note"?
The new THX Trailer:Ā āGenesisā!
Iām not sure if this would fit or could be easily condensed for in-home releases (ala theĀ āLaserdiscā version ofĀ āCimarronā). I prefer the original Deep Note as heard in the trailer, but I wonder why they used not the 2015 Deep Note fromĀ āEclipseā (that may not best replace the original Deep Note, but itās still pretty cool).
Many THX trailers since āCimarronā are generally more creative or specific with style, including āGenesisā. It covers various kinds of atmospheres for movies, from natural to urban and even futuristic environments. The THX Spatial Audio (stereo/best with headphones) is fitting and immersive with lots of bass.
My favorite THX Trailers, amongĀ āBroadwayā (namely the VHS/DVD/LD versions),Ā āCimarronā (namely theĀ āLaserdiscā version), the classicĀ āTexā (1 & 2), the specialĀ āT2ā³ variant, and āEclipseā, still includesĀ āGenesisā, and I, like most, voted on that name.
THX isnāt the only logo with theĀ āGenesisā name; thereās also SEGA Genesis (tweet) and Genesis Entertainment (tweet). Those sure bring 2008 memories for me.

James Moorer claims to have recorded the THX sound effect Deep Note in 1982 but Styxās Krakatoa was released in 1973. Donāt buy into the propaganda! Give The Styx their due!
