Yesterday, I heard a very heartbreaking news about someone I adore a lot. So let me post a dedication content for once.
SHINee’s Jonghyun was found dead at a rented apartment last night. Known as genius singer-songwriter, he was one of my role model and influencer in writing. And I enjoyed listening to his music very much. Not everyone can enjoy kpop, so I understand if not everyone will understand my feeling.
I’ve enjoyed Korean culture since I was a kid. And I think it’s been like 9 years since the very first time I followed SHINee and Jonghyun. About 5-6 years ago I created a fanbase account on twitter and joined one of kpop news platform (KoreanUpdates), I wrote news about him a lot, and if I still as active as back then, I can’t imagine writing news about his death. It’s impossible for me not to cry.
Kim Jonghyun. From the very first time he started his career, he has developed as a great artist, he wrote beautiful songs, a novel, composed good musics, not only for his group but also for other artists. He inspired people a lot. If you curious enough, try to search one of songs composed and written by him, then you’ll understand. He saved many people (including me), by making them laugh or at least smile, but the people did not know that their savior actually was in danger and cannot save himself.
Dear Jonghyun, you didn’t know you’ve became a inspiration, healer, and strength for many people for almost 10 years of your career. You’ve worked hard. You did very well, more than you realized.
Now, rest in peace. You’ve became a star in the sky and in our heart. You’ll be remembered.
