I was talking to the boyfriend and I said, “Black Jack Justice is AU-proof. You can’t shift it into a different setting and have it retain its essential character.” and he said, “OH YEAH??” and then we worked out a coffee shop AU and something else and then dogs. 

So here, have our Black Jack Justice Dog AU: everyone is dogs. 

We picked dog breeds based on their looks.

Jack: mastiff (a big old working dog)

Trixie: shiba inu (the prettiest and most foxlike dog I could think of that wasn’t a tiny dog)

Sabien: bulldog

Nelson: whippet (skinny and looks like it’s been yelled at)

Freddy: pug (sorry, Freddy)

Nurse Dot: classic collie
