You had took Kelly back to Y/H/C to spend Christmas with your parents as you spent Christmas with his parents last year. You pulled up outside your Childhood home and turned to Kelly who was sat in the passenger seat. 

“Your dad is gonna hate me” You placed your hand on his cheek and he leaned into your hand

“I promise you he’s not gonna hate you except you have nothing in common it’s fine though talk about Hockey or something” 

“That made me feel so much better” You smiled

“My brother will like you he loves anyone” 

“Y/N he’s 18 he won’t just love anyone” You smirked 

“Talk about going to the gym he loves going to the gym” 

“Ok” 

“Come on let’s get in there” You climbed out the car and grabbed the bag of presents before taking Kelly’s hand. You walked up to the house and knocked on the door before walking in. 

“Just us” You shouted 

“I’m in the living room. Mom and dad are fighting in the garden” Y/B/N shouted and you raised your eyebrows 

“Welcome to Christmas at the Y/L/N’s” You said kissing Kelly’s cheek

“It can’t be that bad” 

“Just wait” You walked through to the living room and Y/B/N stood up and hugged you instantly. 

“Hey shorty” You joked

“Oh come I’m taller than you and dad now” You slapped him around the head 

“Where’s your girl?” 

“Spending it with her family who’s this?” 

“Oh Y/B/N/ this is my boyfriend Kelly, Kelly this my little brother Y/B/N” Kelly and Y/B/N 

“Mom and dad are arguing about the turkey and chicken” You raised your eyebrows

“Let me guess dad wants chicken because he hates turkey and mom wants turkey because she hates chicken” 

“Yep exactly” You shook your head as you all sat down opening presents until your parents came back in from arguing. Once they finally came back in you introduced them to Kelly and your dad hated him. You went to have dinner and your dad continued to ignore Kelly. 

After dinner you all sat down playing games. Your dad got up to go to the toilet so you followed him. You stood outside the bathroom door until he came out the bathroom where you cornered him. 

“I don’t care what the reason you hate Kelly is but act like you like him until we leave please” 

“His job” You raised your eyebrows

“He has the same god damn job as I do. If you don’t like it then stay out my life for good after today” You stormed back to the living room. 

“Mom we’re gonna go it’s obvious dad doesn’t agree with my life choice’s and I’m not staying about” 

“Look Y/N I’m sorry can we just keep playing” You nodded sitting down on Kelly’s lap as he wrapped an arm around your waist. 

“Mrs Y/L/N do you mind if I go get another beer?” 

“Oh please call me Y/M/N and go ahead their in the kitchen” You moved from Kelly’s lap and he took your hand and walked into the kitchen with you. 

“This is terrible we need to get threw another hour until my mom forces my dad to go shower” 

“Ok come on here’s a beer” He handed you a beer as you stole a handful of salted peanuts. You walked back through to see your brother dancing to Lady Gaga. You pulled out your phone videoing him and laughing at him. 

You and your brother continued dancing and singing about while your parents and Kelly continued to laugh at you two. A slow song came on and you took your brother’s hands and started slow dancing with him just like you used to do when you were kids.
