We are excited to have Deborah Jarchow at our shop March 11th through March 13th teaching two workshops and spreading her expertise and love for weaving with us. You will truly be inspired. Saturday, March 11th from 10 am to 5 pm, she will be having her Salmagundi Shawl workshop. Creating something to wear on a small loom can be a creative challenge. And mixing together various-sized yarns adds another level of excitement. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use a variable dent reed to feature yarns to their best advantage. You’ll see how to stitch narrow panels together to fashion a beautiful garment. Sunday and Monday, March 12th and 13th from 10 am to 5 pm, on both days she will be having her Double Heddle/Double Weaving/Double Heddle workshop. Expand your weaving skills and make two layers in your cloth on the rigid heddle loom. While weaving, the layers can be connected in various ways to make cloth twice the width of your loom, create tubes, or pockets. Participants will make a sampler while exploring this process. Seating is limited for both of these workshops and are filling up fast. So don't miss out and register soon to reserve your spot. There is a discount for taking both classes and also you will get 10% off of all materials needed for the classes. We have looms available if you need one for the classes, but you must let us know as soon as possible to reserve one. Level: You must have taken Introduction to Weaving to do these workshops. If you haven't, we can arrange a class for you if you book it soon. Lunch will be included and served for all three days.
