As much as Poe enjoyed his busy, always-on-the-hyperlane kind of lifestyle, he liked getting back home, to Courscant, to the Temple, too. Although he definitely preferred getting back in better circumstances than ātransferred from medical space station for further recovery under Jedi healers.ā Still, it was good to be back, good to see his friends, good to give himself a while of proper rest since apparently that was what the Force wanted of him. Or at least that was his explanation, delivered with a grin that made Mace roll his eyes and Yoda chuckle.
Though with strict orders to rest a lot, he had been released from the medical floor andĀ allowed to move to his rooms in the temple. He did stick to the healersā orders; he walked little and when he did, he used the cane to take weight off the leg that was in the worst shape still. But some activity was good for him too so he wandered the great halls with a smile and he eagerly accepted the invitation when a knight suggested he come and watch the younglingsā padawan tests.
Itās been a while since Poe had seen those, mostly because he was away most of the time and since he had no plans of taking on a padawan, he also had no reason to return for that specific event. But he remembered well his own tests, the nerves and the excitement. The written assignments were important but of course it were the physical trials that everyone was most excited - and nervous - about. Those were the ones the masters, knights and younglings all watched together, cheering on the padawans-to-be, encouraging them... but, sometimes, judging too, in case of the masters. It was a test, a show and a competition all in one and the stadium where they were held always buzzed with a magnitude of emotion.
Since the test werenāt until the next day, Poe wandered by the training grounds, expecting to find younglings there today too, practicing. He was curious who would be taking the tests tomorrow and if he knew any of them.
