There's no time to neatly fold up her clothes in her bag. There's no time to even plan how many days she'd be in New York or what she should pack. Her flight leaves in an hour and all she can do is run around her apartment and shove what she can with one hand into her carry on, the other with her burner phone pressed to ear.

She only takes a pause when she hears the voice at the end of the line.

"Frank? Frank, it's Karen I-" She swallows, and quickly goes back to packing up her last remaining items before swinging the bag over her shoulder and begins to head for the door.

"I don't know if you've heard, but Benjamin Poindexter, he somehow escaped prison." Eyes squeeze shut as she runs to her car. "Listen, I'm leaving to get on a flight to New York right now, but I...I need a favor. I...I think he's going to go after Matt and after what happened with Foggy I...I just...I can't. I need you to find him...protect him, please? Just until I can get there. I don't know what's happening or-or where Matt is, but I heard...I heard there was shots fired at Wilson Fisk's gala and I just...please...Frank I can't...I can't lose anyone else."

To say the kiss was unexpected would be an understatement. She's known Frank to put up walls around people. Keep his distance so that he doesn't have to worry about getting to close and losing more people. It's not that he doesn't care. It's that he cares too much. So Karen does the only thing she can think to do in this moment, and that is to return the kiss with full force. Mirroring him as an arm wraps around the back of his neck.

Karen glances up at him, lips forming a thin line as she nods. It's then that the rag soaked in hydrogen peroxide lands directly on the wound on his thigh. It's lifted and she goes back to cleaning the wound and the surrounding area of blood as if nothing had happened. Maybe she was being a little childish, but it made a point regardless.
