Imma cheat just a lil bit and make this one about writing different types of relationships instead of shipping. As a writer, you should be able to write any type of bad, unhealthy and toxic relationship as long as you acknowledge that that shit is bad and as long as you don’t romanticize it in your writing.

 its  fresh,  floral  scent  registers  before  the  offering  itself    —    andraste’s  grace,  unless  his  senses  deceive  him.   the  flower  is  not  unheard  of  in  these  parts,  but  rare  nonetheless,  and  enough  to  render  him  speechless.   fingers  close  about  the  stem,  gentle  in  his  handling    (  for  such  a  delicate  thing  could  not  rightly  belong  in  hands  built  for  battle  and  hardship  ).     ❛   a  gift,  indeed?   surely  you  aren’t  picking  favourites,  inquisitor?   varric  would  be  crushed.   ❜     yet  another  jest  made  with  intent  to  armour  himself,  for  little  is  quite  so  lethal  as  false  hope.

NOT OFTEN ENOUGH??  there’s certainly no aversion or reason at all besides that he’s a workaholic.  he’s the sort who rises early, turns in late, and is working most of the time in between.  whether it be because he’s out with the inquisition forces, or training, or helping with skyhold renovations  —  my boy needs to take a break, but he often doesn’t have time to indulge himself.  that being said, if he’s in a relationship then he’s utterly unable to keep his hands off his partner and they keep his free time occupied.  of course, when he does find time it’s a welcome release.

☌ : would/does your muse have any special piercings anywhere? would they get some?

ahhh i wish i could say that roth has something interesting going on somewhere, but tbh i doubt he would    ( in main verse ).  the aesthetic aspect of it would be lost on him, and he’s just too physically involved for it to be practical for him.  i can see it having been something he considered when he was younger, but not as an adult so often engaged in physical labour and close range combat  …  mind you, now i’m picturing roth travelling somewhere like tevinter or antiva in more peaceful times and being adorned with some lovely piercings  …
