âCan I what now?â The archangel sounded amused at best. At first, he was rather spooked to find a child outside at such a late hour, while the heavy rains fell from the sky. It was why he had his wings out in the first place, he did not suspect company, and the dark made for a good cover. And the water, ah, the water. It felt so nice. His wings were folded at his back when he moved towards the child that hid where the rain could not get her â or where he couldnât her? He tried to read her expression but she did not seem afraid. To him. He had yet a lot to learn about the human nature.
âAre you here all by yourself?â
She hated going to her Fatherâs... she really did. Perhaps it was a bad thing to admit, and perhaps it was wrong of her to run off like she had, but she had a plan in that small head of hers. Retrace the way that her Maman had taken her to get there... and then she would be back home. Easy, right? Though she had quickly learned that it wasnât quite so easy as she had made it seem to be in her head. Curled up on a bench at a bus stop that at least had a small portion of covering for her, she hadnât thought before speaking out as she had. The child didnât have any sense of being afraid of strangers, quite frankly, her innocence allowing her to assume that all grown ups were good.Â
âMhmm...â she hummed the word through closed lips, nodding as she shifted on the bench and drew her knees up to her chest. âIâm trying to get back to my Mummaâs house,â She assured him, not wanting to admit that she had ran from her Fatherâs in case the massive man before her would make her go back.Â
