Dear Police
Please train yourselves to look for ACTUAL SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY instead of seeking out innocent people, who are doing nothing wrong, who happen not to be white. I feel like its everyday that I hear how some racist cop “accidentally” shoots someone of another race. And it is sickening. One day when I’m older, I want to be able to let my child play freely outside without having to fear, that some cop may shoot him for playing a game of tag with his friends and having to hear “Oh sorry I thought he was the 6 foot 7 inches, green haired, red eyed, axe murder that just got loose.” Please learn that not every person of African American, Hispanic, or Middle Eastern descent is automatically a bad person or doing something wrong. Or even doing something suspicious at all! Its time equality became an actual thing. I know Americans may say “Oh yah, we’re trying.” NO! As Yoda once said “Do or not do. There is no try.” And in this case, there shouldn’t be a choice… We will do. Because no one will be safe in this world until we see each other not as enemies, but as one people, no matter who we are, no matter the color of our skin, the money we make, or where we come from. Dear Police, Please hear me out.
