Summary:
In which Cale Henituse gets de-aged and a ten-year-old Kim Rok Soo has to live with the fallout.
Kim Rok Soo takes note of the foreign words. He doesn’t like that he cannot understand most of what is said — it leaves him feeling uneasy and jumpy and the odd gazes he keeps finding directed at him are only making it worse. He lowers his head. Obedience pleases most people he knows. If they still insist on punishing him, they’ll at least hold back upon seeing him all docile. (It makes him sick to his stomach, makes his skin crawl uncomfortably, but nobody ever said living was easy. To live is to suffer, but when his parents died they had grimaces on their faces, so death has to be worse.)
