Casey’s hand still cupped the back of his neck as she pulled away just enough to look him in the eyes. Her already flushed cheeks became tinted a shade darker after a moment, and a giggle pulled her lips into a grin. Pressing her forehead to his and her nose nuzzling his as she shook her head, she mumbled. ” ‘M sorry. I said I was gonna behave.”

When Cable was discovered, he was disorientated, dehydrated. The bruises and burns that covered his form stood out violently against the cold gray wall he was leaning against. There was no way the man could not be in pain, but the expression he gave Wade was typical. Cool, collected, accented with that scowl he always seemed to have. It was a look that said he was in severe pain, but wouldn’t show it out of pure stubbornness. He wouldn’t let them win that satisfaction. Nathan wasn’t sure they wouldn’t have that satisfaction anyways, three words carved into the right side of his massive chest. Weapon X Owns You. The fact that he had been a tool to taunt Wade really didn’t sit well with Cable, and he wanted to show them why. 

The world was just as decayed as the undead that walked it. It was crumbling, falling apart piece by piece, but that didn’t stop people from surviving, living with what they could. Nathan looked around, watching as people chatted and attempted to have a sense of normalcy as others worked on getting the vehicles filled. He knew these people, they were all part of the Askani Convoy, traveling and offering hope to those who struggled in this world. He had separated in order to travel on his own and had been gone for some time. Knowing how hard it was to survive on your own, Nate had returned, convincing his daughter Hope, and his friend Wade to come with him. They had both been accepted with open arms, but Nate wasn’t quite sure either of them felt comfortable here. With them now in mind, the man turned, adjusted his gun, and moved to locate Wade.
