Penny began packing away her carts loose objects, it was no good to have clutter bouncing around as the train left for it's next destination. Her little sleeper car was sparse with much, even considering she was currently a single dormer, just things she had gather along the way. Snapshots of her carnival brothers and sisters, a few books she'd found here and there, and of course her beloved Teddy. Teddy was the only thing that accompanied her to the carnival, that, and a wrecked car. The circus had been good to her, providing her with food, clothes, and a safe haven. Growing up under a big tent might not have been luxurious, but her misfit caretakers always tried to make sure she had shoes that fit her feet.
The young girl entered the washroom, intent on getting a bath in before they left station, as the bumpy train tracks always made soaking in the tub impossible without leaving a mess. Perhaps it was a combination of Penny getting ready to relax, and the fact that she was the last car on a train, that startled her so much when she heard someone stepping through her car door.
