He plops down, tiny little paws kneading at Stiles’ thigh. “This is nice. Usually when witches curse people, they have a bunch of blood dripping from their faces and their organs turn literally inside out. This is pretty tame, all things considered.”

In his defense, Sirius has been tired and distracted all day. Not that this means Stiles is ever going to give him a free pass. As it were, Sirius is talking to Stiles when it happens, they’re on their way back up to the main house from the pool house and his foot catches on one of those damned rocks his mother keeps insisting are the start to her rock garden, whatever the fuck that is. He almost actually falls to the ground, but he manages to contain it to a rather disgraceful stumble, and hops onto his other foot for a moment to shake out the pain. “Son of a bitch…. God damn rocks- and don’t you start laughing, this isn’t funny. I swear I’m going to shoot these damn things into dust.” He’s wearing shorts, so he can easily see the damage, and there isn’t much. Just a scrape and tiny bit of blood, but man does it sting. These rocks have to go.

“Hey, everything alright?” He knew he usually didn’t want to talk about his nightmares, tended to prefer to go back to sleep once he got to Stiles’ or distract himself with Stiles’ lips instead. But he thinks it would best to check, just in case.
