The toddler had managed to slip out of sight of her Mamas to chase after dandelion fluff. When you're Hana's age, everything is brand new and ripe for exploring. The fluff had long slipped out of her tiny, tiny frame of reach, though, so now she was on her own.
On Hana toddled, staying where it was nice and bright. She took in everything around her. The crisp autumn breeze stroked through the branches of the trees covering her. It comfortingly hugged her. The leaves crinkled beneath her feet, causing her great amusement indeed.
There is only so far that a baby can go on her own, mind. This is why soon Hana sat straight own in the middle of the road. She could not fly for long on account of her curse. See, the former Queen of the Witch World, Her Majesty of Two Reigns Ago, was so scared of Hana's immense power at such a young age that she cursed her. Now, she hated vegetables, and since she wouldn't eat vegetables, she didn't have the energy she needed to cast magic. Yes, that's quite a predicament for a baby witch. She only crawled a little bit of a way to a rock.
Once the baby propped her pudgy arms onto the jagged edge, something very...homely...caught her eye. She gazed at it, entranced. What exactly was that? Could she do that? She tried, but the magic she was able to conjure manifested just what else was on her mind.
A toy duck. The duck quacked with a wavering voice at what was before them and chased before it. Hana went from entranced to entertained, and she nearly knocked herself back down on the ground in a fit of giggles.

"HAZUKI!!!!!!" Doremi threw herself at her childhood friend in an embrace. "Happy Birthday!" She let go and rummaged through her back pocket. "Here! I got you something! Actually, I didn't GET it. I MADE it!" The usagi bunned girl grinned as she held out her present. It's supposed to be a clay coaster with a bunny painted on it. It doesn't LOOK like a bunny, but it's supposed to be a bunny. "I hope you like it!"
"DOREM-Oof!" Hazuki had JUST braced herself for impact when Doremi made contact. It always felt good to see her best friend again, and she was so grateful she always, ALWAYS made time for her birthday on Valentine's Day. She wrapped her arms around her in just as tight an embrace.
"Thank you, thank you! Doremi, you always know just when to turn up and make a girl's day!" she said as she took the charm from her best friend's hand.
Now...to puzzle over what the heck this is. "Oh, my! This is beautiful! I'll wear it on my backpack for the best of the school year! For the rest of the YEAR year!"
She was being honest. Everything Doremi makes, whether a dolphin, a pineapple, a rabbit, or all three, she always made them with love.
