since I've been thinking abt how batman's moral system would clash with earth bet culture again I'd like to share one of my favorite ideas, which is essentially:
the joker, walking into brockton bay, thinking that he'll be able to pull his usual bioterrorist bullshit and get sent off into a revolving door prison: *is instantly dogpiled by every hero, vigilante, and villain in an 8 mile radius while the president retroactively signs a kill order in the background*
two weeks later batman finishes reverse engineering whatever accident sent the villain over there, he follows expecting mayhem and horror and is beating himself up on his emo bullshit cause the joker is "his responsibility" only to find a mcfucking corpse and the local heroes going "oh yeah we don't fuck around with his type, they leave the city running for their lives or in a matchbox."
or maybe they birdcaged the joker and while batman is arguing over taking him back to gotham and becky is explaining that they ain't gonna compromise the prison for him to collect his personal budget-bonesaw, dragon pops in all "yeah moot point marquis just cut off his head" and mans loses his mind. brood factor into overdrive forreal.
bonus points for it being a really shitty first impression for the dcu to make so when wonder woman or superman or whoever come over as official ambassadors, they get the surreal experience of people being surprised at their competence/ethics cause of how low a bar batman set. y'all know that would be hot justice league gossip for weeks.
