“you’re not supposed to be in here.” to be honest, barbara hadn’t even looked up from the notebook she was writing in. she finished up what she was writing, sighing as she did not hear retreating footsteps behind her. she was tired (she couldn’t remember the last time she’d gotten more than two hours of consecutive sleep), she could feel a headache forming, and well, she was cranky. she closed the notebook and re-adjusted her glasses, slowly turning around. “since apparently we don’t like to listen, how can i help you? please note that any and all requests or questions will be much better received with an offering of caffeine.”

Pamela looked around, knowing that things had definitely changed and knew that sooner or later, she would have to adapt. Luckily enough, she could start growing a garden and assign roles. She ran a hand over her face, knowing that she was a bit stressed out but knew that this was important. “Alright, first things first, I need everyone to sign up for a role that they want to do for the garden.” She said aloud, hoping she could get someone’s attention. “Just, line up in front of me and I’ll write down what you want to do.”

stephanie knew that traveling was risky and generally frowned upon, but well, she’d never exactly been a rule follower. besides, she had business to attend to in wonder city even if she didn’t particularly like wonder city, and that made travel necessary. but she had stayed a little later than usual (she could thank black widow and her training for that), and it was getting darker earlier and earlier every day with the change of seasons. stephanie sighed, wishing she’d thought to bring a flashlight along, but she hadn’t intended for assassin-in-training time to last as long as it had. she was pulled from her thoughts when a rustling sounded behind her, and stephanie paused. fight or flight had always been strong with her, and well, it had only heightened when the goddamn world ended. the click of the safety on the gun sounded quickly, and stephanie slowly turned around. “i’ll have you know i have a shoot first, ask questions later policy.”
