Like I said, I love it, but from an objective standpoint, it's not that good. It breaks the show don't tell rule multiple times; the art style is good enough and unique, but not impressive, and sometimes a little messy; the tone shifts between saturday morning cartoon and extremely angst and gory, leaving the audience not knowing what to expect; and the worldbuilding contradicts itself on occasion.

However, I realised one thing that's really great, and might be what hooked me up

The whole story is a journey of self-discovery. The protagonist, Satan, was bullied for being weak and looking like an angel. He spent all his life trying to fit in, act more demoniac, making friends. But very early on, both the audience and himself learn that he actually can't be a demon. Then he ignores it, but both him and the readers know that this knowlege will come up again in the future. Little by little, he becomes more comfortable with what he really is as he finds out more about himself. There is still a lot of self-loathing and wishing he was just normal, but he does understand himself better. Then he's presented with the chance of the life he always wished, and he chooses instead to be whatever he is now and carry on. Eventually, he learns what he truly is, but he doesn't accept it. He's come to realise what he wants to be is just himself. And finally, he meets someone who was born like him, and he rejects it. He defied all other qualifications of being a demon, but it's what he identified as, and he owned it.
