So you're not afraid of the professional fearmonger, but you are afraid of a gardener?
...You clearly don't understand the situation at play here, so I'm going to explain it very carefully.
Dr Crane is a human being, with human reasoning, interests, and curiousity. He is negotiable to a degree, and will accept compromise. You can talk him out of things and into a waiver, an exchange...you can use your thoughts and words to work with him.
You cannot bargain with a mint plant's root system to spread slower. You cannot request that kudzu stop enveloping everything in its path. You cannot reason with a sandbox tree in how its seeds explode and poison you. You cannot negotiate that a weed not smother out your begonias, and share the flower bed nicely.
With all things in nature, it's kill or be killed. Simple as that. Niche warfare for resources.
Dr Pamela Isley does not think or function like a person. Dr Pamela Isley is a plant.
To Dr Pamela Isley, all we are is fertilizer. Noisy, uppity fertilizer that will be put to use sooner than later if we don't mind our place in the ecosystem.
She does not play by human rules, and will not tolerate appeals.
