Just watched the newest Conan episode, love how he tranq'd Sonoko while she was standing in a warehouse with a concrete floor and there was nothing nearby to break her fall at all AND he made takagi go right up to the sabotaged boxes, really going hard on the reckless endangerment of his allies, i swear if anime was real his body count would be in the double digits

I disagree with reviewers who say: “Bringing Steve Trevor back will cheapen his death. His death had a profound impact on Diana and he needs to remain dead for her character development. Wonder Woman 2 should not be another love story.”

They’re not being fair at all.

Lots of characters have died heartfelt emotional deaths before only to be brought back. His return doesn’t change the impact his first death had on Diana or how she views the world. “You can’t unring a bell.” (The best example of this is Steve and Bucky... Bucky’s death changed Steve, but even after he returned Steve didn’t “go back” to the way he was, and Bucky being alive only enhanced the effect of is initial death. I think everyone can agree Steve’s story was only made better with the inclusion of Bucky and the Captain America movies wouldn’t be as good without him.)

Diana having a love interest doesn’t make the movie simply a love story. Almost every superhero movie has a love interest, a Lois Lane/Jane Foster/Pepper Potts character. Those movies have a romantic sub plot, but no one ever accused the movie of just being a love story. Why is it only when the superhero is female that suddenly it’s a bad thing she has a love interest and it “cheapens the whole movie”. Double standards.

The fact remains Steve Trevor is a good, solid character. Chris Pines has a unique chemistry with Gal Gadot that can’t be replaced. Steve coming back to life somehow or being Winter Soldiered would only make Wonder Woman 1984 more interesting and exciting. I’m not interested in Patty Jenkins keeping Steve dead just to be edgy and depressing. I’m confident in Patty Jenkins to give us a good reason for Steve’s return, but even if she doesn’t? I probably wouldn’t care. I’d be happy enough just to have Steve back.

I must admit that all those episodes ago when they introduced a young troubled boy hooking up with his English teacher, I did NOT expect to love Pacey as much as I do now.
