Daypixprogger (noun)
Pronunciation: /ˈdeɪˌpɪksˌprɑɡər/
Definition:
A whimsical, imaginary creature known for its industriousness during daylight hours, often associated with folklore and myth. Daypixproggers are believed to combine the diligent work ethic of dayworkers with the playful and magical qualities of pixies. These entities are said to bring productivity and enchantment to those they favor.
In contemporary fantastical literature, a character or entity that epitomizes the harmonious blend of practical work and magical influence, often depicted as assisting humans with their daily tasks while adding a touch of whimsy and enchantment.
Etymology: A portmanteau of "dayworker," referring to those who work during the daytime; "pixie," a mythical creature known for its mischievous and magical nature; and "progger," a term denoting progress or proactive effort.
Example Sentence: The garden flourished under the care of the daypixprogger, who ensured both the flowers and spirits of the gardeners remained high.
Dayworkers
Cheaper than a Big Mac! Less likely to give you indigestion! The only post-apocalyptic horror noir with a deranged protagonist who mistakes a moustache for a squirrel! It's "Dayworkers," the novelette by Matt Macburn (that is, me).
Tell your friends! Tell your enemies! Don't tell your frenemies, because...seriously? Why would you ever use the term "frenemies?" It sounds ridiculous.
