Now that my vacation's over, I wanted to reflect back on it and say what I was thankful for. I'm thankful I had the opportunity to travel to China. I know how fortunate I am to be able to travel to another part of the world and I don't want to take it for granted.

Today I got to hear some testimonies from some friends and it was fascinating to hear how they had gone into missions work and how God had led them through various circumstances. I am thankful to be able to hear their honesty and vulnerability in sharing parts of their life, and I am thankful for the encouragement it provides me, seeing how God does not let go of his children and pursues them whole heartedly.

I’m so thankful for a good night's sleep. It just helps me think more clearly, be less irritable, and be more present.

For my second day of thanks, I wanted to say I'm so thankful for my sister-in-law. Having grown up with only brothers, in really glad to have a sister to talk about boys with, share secrets, and try out wacky clothes with. She's so bubbly and fun and very different from my family, which as awesome, and adds a new dimension to the group. I don't get to spend a lot of time with her as she lives overseas, so I'm quite grateful for this time we have together!

I'm on vacation in Asia with family, and while I'm here I've decided to do 7 days of saying what I'm thankful for! Day one: I'm so thankful that my family and I can be together. It's been over a year since we've all been in the same room. I'm also thankful for good weather, as it has been relatively windy, which is great to break up the heat! Finally, I'm so grateful for the opportunity to visit old historical sites and think about the time before now.

I am so thankful for books. I love how they can transport you to another world or help you see things in a new light. Bookstores have been my favourite stores since I was little.
