The Untold Tale of the Grey Warden [Daylen]
☠{ Now this was one memory she hadn't expected to surface.
In a swift blink of the eye, the smooth metallic surface of the space station were by cobblestone walls and a familiar warmth soothing her prickled skin. A grand fireplace ate away at the lingering cold, radiating a brilliant hue of orange. With the added furniture and plants adorning the room, it became apparent she had awoken in a sort of lounge.
"Denerim," she muttered stiffly, recalling a certain offer she had proposed long in the past.
Of course. It was here, in this exact area, in which Morrigan gave the Warden an option from his imminent death. Perform a ritual of dark magic, and his life would be spared one the Old God's soul was released from its vessel. Otherwise it would both consume and destroy his body. Naturally there was a benefit to this deal that she desired to reap.
"But why reenact what has been done?"
The sudden clamoring of footsteps alerted her to the presence of a fellow mage--And not just any man to venture upon the witch. However she responded by crossing her arms, clearly unfazed by him. Like her arrival, he was following the memory's script.
"Daylen," she commented blankly. After all, the two knew exactly what was needed to be spoken, "'Tis odd finding ourselves repeating history, wouldn't you agree?"
