I am so frustrated! I am STILL waiting for my Day 2 PCR results after returning from Italy on Monday. I submitted the sample on Tuesday 07/12, sent it via Royal Mail Priority Post 24 hours. It didn't reach the lab until Thurs!!! The status of my sample has been "Delivered at Lab" since then! The guidelines are that results will be received within 24-48 hours from them receiving that sample. That time has elapsed, Andy's sample which was sent at exactly the same time has been processed and he has been released with a negative result. I've taken lateral flows and I have no symptoms so I'm confident I'm fine but I have now had to accept a week's unpaid leave at work, a week of loss of Zumba earnings and I still have to pay out for hall hire etc for thia week. I am going stir crazy at home and I desperately need to get back to normal! I was booked to have my COVID-19 Booster this morning, I was meant to cover a fellow instructors class, I had plans this weekend and all those have been scrapped because I am forced to self isolate pending receiving a negative PCR test. I am very tempted to book and pay for another test (perhaps a drive through PCR test from Gatwick) so that I can be released but I have already had to pay for another test because my fit to fly ones didn't turn up in time for us to Fly to Italy so I'm not impressed at all.
