Not big on the self portraits, but took a couple with the Boys before they retired last night. Yes, you might wonder where I get to sleep. So do I.

Full text: danforthfleak.tumblr.com The last few strands of daylight were fading when we got to Mackworth Island, where these pics were taken. Now, there were nights my senior year in high school when I was living on the third floor of St. Mary's Hall that I was the only one on that floor. It has GIANT hallways, and the bathroom was in the middle of the building, so I would have to scamper down the dark hallway in the middle of the night. I have often said that if ghosts exist, I would surely have seen one that year. Right after the last photo was taken, I realized that I was standing at the end of a stone pier on the far side of a now dark island from my truck. And I must admit, I had a "Blair Witch" moment. I did have a dog with me - although the idea that Rodg would do anything to a homicidal maniac other than jump up and try to lick him to death is pretty humorous. Perhaps if I was being stabbed to death, he might surprise me - haha! Good thing I am in pretty good shape - Rodg and I ran about a 7 minute mile back to the truck, and obviously we made it.
