Tonight, all of my family and friends are going to a Board of Commissioners meeting. Something I never thought I would do.... damn sure never thought I would have the guts to stand up and speak... but I’ve never been so empowered to make change in my life. We truly found our little slice of heaven on this Earth. Our town, our property.... it is literally the most perfect fit for us and our family. Now a bunch of developers and city slickers are trying to move in and make our ‘here’ look like their ‘there’. But we moved here because we didn’t want to live there! We wanted small town life, community, quiet.... and to be able to see the stars. Oh, 😍 the stars. I grew up in a small suburban town, so we rarely saw stars from our home. The light pollution kept the sky and hazy red or yellow. We can walk out in our back yard and it looks like you can see all of space and all of eternity. The most breathtaking and humbling thing I’ve seen in my life. So, say a prayer and keep my town in your thoughts tonight.
