░░░░░░ ☾ dawn slams the pan down against the stove, gripping the knob hard to turn it on. she would growl if she was some feral animal. “does everyone have a complex today ? think the world revolves around them?”

░░░░░░ ☾ "i’m going blind from the heat.”

░░░░░░ ☾ dawn takes a few seconds to process tara’s words as she stares glumly at the floor. how much does this hurt ? more than the time she skinned her knee while skateboarding, more than when buffy fussed over her for it; more than the bumped elbows or the broken wrist. more than any physical injury she’s had thus far – maybe more than ones to come. she should have listened when buffy told her spike was dangerous. maybe then none of this would have happened. “i feel stupid,” she whispers, “and i don’t know how to stop. this is my fault.”

░░░░░░ ☾ "on an unrelated note –– where are you from?”

Dawn would hug him close. “Yes, baby, I love you so much. Your baby brother or sister will need lots of attention though when they’re born, so your daddy and I are going to have to spend some time with them. But that doesn’t mean we don’t love you, Trent. We’ll need your help taking care of the baby too, okay?”
