If you ever need an example of conservatives/republicans never being able to be happy look no further than David Wells during the Yankees’ old timers day. Old timers day was meant to welcome back players and celebrate the anniversary of the 1998 World Series win. Wells took his opportunity to give a speech and speak to reporters to talk about the ‘woke’ agenda and how much he hates bud light and Nike. He even went as far as to cover up the Nike logo on his jersey. As well as saying how nowadays everyone needs to carry a gun (important note that he said this in New York which has some of the strictest gun laws in the U.S). He also said how the lack of ‘camaraderie’ with players is the reason why the Yankees have sucked this year. And according to him, players listening to their own music in the clubhouse means that they never talk to each other? This was a day when you’re supposed to be happy and meet up with your old friends and teammates and celebrate one of the happiest days of your life. How big of a fucking loser do you have to be to spend your entire day talking about all this shit. Maybe he was just salty because everybody was obviously most excited about Derek Jeter.
