David Blue - The Grand Hotel (1968)
The knock on David Blue is that he was very obviously trying to sound like Dylan. He was a friend of Dylan so he probably had more reason to. I still like some the songs, but by his 2nd LP he had shed some the obvious similarities. This song was recorded twice, once for the first LP and then for the 2nd LP, with this version taking on a similar feel to what Townes Van Zandt would start recording.
