Dave Strider is not thinking straight. Dave had just come back to life, and he is trying to think of a word that rhymes with orange. 1. Dave smirked as he kissed the taut line of Terezi’s neck. Watching them made Karkat’s pulse point burn hot. He moisten his lips with his tongue. Terezi let out a cackle like a bird circling in the sky, a harsh scream before descent on a carcass. And that carcass was Dave’s ass.
Karkat seethed. He stood as though he were frozen in time, a ghost no one could hear. He was so angry, but yet, but yet…Â

Dave put his hands in the vicinity of Karkat’s ears and moaned dramatically. Karkat read this an official greenlight and swept his tongue over Dave’s bottom lip. Dave made a noise of surprise and gave Karkat the sexiest tongue flick ever.Â
Karkat carded his hands through Dave’s hair. Though they had started making out to make Terezi jealous, the plan got away from them like a roller coaster at the top of a hill. They could not stop the sexy momentum, and it would be their downfall.
Terezi smirked in the corner of the room.
“John, come on, dude. I know you have a boner for suspense but I can’t lay like this all day,” Dave whispers, his head protruding from the box, splinters biting in the back of his neck. John presses a glass plate in the box, and the skin on Dave’s stomach tingles. The boxes seperate easily, and he feels lightheaded. Gravity pulls his head backwards. His back is arched at an odd angle, and it is getting hard to breathe, but he just needs to hold out a little longer. John can’t hear him anyway. Dave grips his jeans as John shouts something to the audience. Tries to calculate how long he’s been waiting, how long he has left. His fingers catch on his knees, and he coughs, pulling his back straight. Sweat trickles down his chin as he inhales. His sunglasses slide down his nose and clatter into the box as it opens. The applause sounds like static when the trick ends three minutes early, and he can hear John over it: “A round of applause for my lovely assistant” and quieter “Are you okay? Are you okay?” as he stumbles out onto the stage.
