𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐔𝐍𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 sunlight pouring like gold through the slatted ceiling / windows magnifying the warmth ( does it wrap around you ? does it call itself home as it cradles you to sleep ? ) a drowsy haze seems perpetual , 𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑚 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑡 ---- a gaping wound for a heart that refuses to stop beating , despite all the pain , despite the ichor that spills endlessly . even his mouth feels sluggish , like honey coating his tongue / 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐧 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 ( i waited here for you , would you wait for me too ? ) breeze stirs the grasses that swallow them whole , the wild hiding them from the glare of those who seek nothing but pain / like wolves salivating at the thought of sinking their teeth into their flesh ( i’d call you a wolf / your teeth glisten , 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 . but i am more of a sheep / i am the lamb they lead to the slaughter ) the red of his shirt like a bloodstain on the ground , a strange mingling with the darkness that sits like a blanket of nighttime on his companion .
❝ do you ever worry that someone will find us out here ? ❞ teeth dig into the skin of his lower lip , tugging helplessly at the chord of worry that thrums in his chest . head turns , hand laid lazily against the other man’s / hearts threaded together DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE SOFTNESS I HARBOR FOR YOU ? ( so many questions live inside of me every time i see you , they pound at the backside of my eyelids , they demand resolution from you over & over again ) sigh is shoved past his lips , forcing himself into a sitting position / tongue to cheek . 𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑦𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑚 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑒𝑠 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑜𝑑𝑦 , 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑑𝑖𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑎 𝑑𝑒𝑒𝑟’𝑠 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑒 ❝ don’t people ever wonder where you disappear to ? ❞ read : do you grow tired of me ? do you pray for my absence ?
