It was the first book that I read by Juliet Marillier and I really liked her writing style. It is a reimagining of the Six Swans myth and it is very well done. We follow Sorcha , a seventh child, as she tries to complete her quest and defeat the curse that was laid upon them. The book is a little slow paced at the beginning but then it picks up. I loved the world building and the descriptions as well as the characters. Sorcha is a great female character.
