He should seriously start thinking about getting a coffee maker for his current residence. Instead, he’s finding himself at a coffee shop for the fifth time this week. And it’s only Monday. He gets the sneaking suspicion the barista thinks he’s flirting with him--which usually Date would. But when getting his order of a coffee with as much sugar and cream as he could justify (to possibly add to the caffeine boost), flirting is the last thing on his mind when he’s this sleep deprived. As for the barista...when Date received his coffee, he was also handed a heart shaped cookie. And hey, Date’s not one to pass up free food. But if experience is anything to go by? This barista is definitely flirting with him. ...Or he just feels bad about how fucking often Date has been in here.
The coffee shop is curiously crowded for this time of day--mostly couples that Date doesn’t really want to intrude on. So instead he finds himself standing awkwardly next to a table that only one person is seated at currently, and he appears to be working on something. Hopefully he won’t mind, though.
“You don’t mind if I sit here, do you? Usually I’d sit by myself but...it seems everywhere else is...taken.”
He’s really needing to sit down before he crashes, and he’ll go ahead and try the heart cookie too.
