Adelina Patti and Christine Daaé wigs
“Is the Christine wig historically accurate”, people often ask. My answer is usually Adelina Patti: the legendary Italian-French soprano, whose career was at its height in the 1880s. Most of her photos and portraits shows splendid hairdos and curls, and I especially like the photo in the middle of this photoset, with curls cascading down the back, and small curls over the forehead. A portrait painted from this photo is in the care of La Scala in Milan.
