He had heard the sirens and seen the footage on TV; what was happening?! Duster had grabbed his jacket and gotten an excuse from work before rushing towards the school, angrily trying to fight his way through the crowd, but only to be stopped by the cops who barricaded the area. The plan he had was to run straight home– but he heard a faint voice calling out for him amongst the other voices and sirens.
He craned his neck around, looking for a familiar face– and once he spotted him, he waved his free hand to him.
“Duster– Duster!” He cried out, dragging Fuel behind him. Once he was close enough to Duster, he released Fuel’s hand and threw his arms around the man’s waist. “W-we’re okay…!”
"Life may be difficult, but at least I’ve kept track of my age...!”
Duster got off his bed, which was the couch, and ran his fingers through his hair. "Luke?" He asked, getting up to knock on Luke's door, "time for school-" He heard crying? He opened the door, surprised it wasn't closed to see the very young child. "L-Luke?" [Dasutah]
Luke had merely fallen out of bed, luckily.
Unfortunately, he’d fallen flat on his face. And he couldn’t understand really why he’d felt like... crying about it, aside from the fact that it hurt a lot. The boy, now wearing oversized pajamas, whined as he lay on the floor holding his nose.
"L-Luke? Luke get up.." his voice whispered near your ears as he struggled to lift up your head, holding a glass of water close to your parched lips. "Luke, please; your health is low and it's scaring me" [Dasutah]
“Nng...” The boy could hardly open his eyes, feeling as though they’d been caked with dust. His head pounded, and moving any limb hurt. He quickly found out how difficult it had been to move his arms in particular...
“Duster...” He coughed, squinting at the man. He hardly recognized the glass of water’s presence. “What... happened...?”

The key turned in the lock, making a click sound as Duster opened the door. The apartment was bare, empty; the walls and floor didn't look so clean either, making Boney bark in dismay. The thief carried some of the boxes inside, setting them down near the doorway, "well, we can fix it up but this is going to be our new home." [Dasutah]
"Er..."
Luke, still holding some of the heavier boxes, stared at the dingy looking apartment. He wondered if they had just moved into a haunted room-- or at the very least, a diseased one. He would waste little time in getting it clean, no doubt. There was no way he was sleeping in a room this unsanitary.
"Um... I kind of preferred your van, honestly...!" He chuckled lightly.
