A familiar apprentice magician slipped into Oshare’s shop. Arle was sporting an outfit that was likely somewhat unfamiliar to Oshare, however. Namely, her ornate blue with gold trim armor consisting of a mantle, breastplate, bracers, and tiara had replaced her far humbler and ...debatably goofier outfit from last time they’d met. The reason she was here would probably become almost immediately evident to Oshare. Namely, her boots. They weren’t just worn; they were falling apart! Judging by the damage, it looked as if she may have walked on an extremely hot surface. The soles were deformed and there were some rather nasty burns where the fabric above had briefly caught fire. 

--...But, perhaps something else would catch Oshare’s attention. Arle seemed... out of it. She staggered ever so slightly as she slipped inside, not through any fault of her boots but simply because she seemed slightly dizzy for a brief moment. There was a certain exhaustion in her eyes and in her body language. She was making an effort to hide it, but an inviting smile could only hide so much. One might get the impression that she suffering from some pretty bad exhaustion, but it was barely halfway through the afternoon! Perhaps she hadn’t slept last night?

💗- A memory about a good deed they did 

“Hey…”

He remembered it being really crowded in the marketplace. He remembered hearing a loud crash like that of shattered glass. He remembered seeing a young lady kneeling on the ground, distraught and crying over a puddle of spilled… something. It must’ve been a really important potion, for her to be crying like that after spilling it.

And, well… he’d just gotten his allowance for the week, so…

“Hey, lady…”

He bent down next to her and handed her some coins from his wallet. It was almost his whole allowance for that week, but he knew that potion must’ve been pretty important, and helping her buy another one was probably worth way more than anything he could’ve bought with that money.

He remembered her thanking him profusely, and hugging him really tightly before running off…

and about a week later, he remembered getting a letter in the mail, from a woman whose name he’d never heard.

‘Thank you so much. Because of you,  my husband is better now and he can go back to work again. I can’t thank you enough…’

And tucked inside the letter was all the allowance he’d given her, plus a couple of tiny candies…

💝- A memory that made them feel loved 

“Happy Birthday, Sig!”

He was startled by the noise of several party poppers going off at once, and confetti flying everywhere.

It was weird… this was the first time anyone had celebrated his birthday aside from his own mother. Yet here they all were.. Amitie, Raheena, Glasses, Teacher, and everyone in their class, smiling wide and holding presents just for him…

He wasn’t sure how he managed to keep from crying… but he came really close. Instead, he just smiled at them.

“...H-huh?”

Lidelle’s obviously confused. This is the second person she finds inside a chest.

“Dunno. I’ve heard love’s nice and all but I’ve never felt that way towards anyone.”

Aka: Sig has yet to feel that way towards anyone and doesn’t understand what love is like.

“As for me... I wasn’t exactly well socialized before my sealing... I have yet to find someone I would want to share the rest of my life... I barely have any friends for heaven’s sake...”

💕: how does my muse express their feelings? do they do through small but meaningful gestures, or through bold declarations?

The reflection couldn’t help but smile a bit, albeit a bit nervously. She wasn’t exactly a good pet keeper, much less able to handle multiple cats.
