Your post on cricket is truly a thing of wonder. Thank you for encapsulating it so perfectly. I assume the poet is Harsha Bhogle? He has a TED talk: youtube[DOT]com/watch?v=LbIXYEW9CSQ

Thank you so much, it’s so kind of you to tell me!None of the commentators are real people. They are all alchemical archetypes composed of souls and prayers, who manifest on cricket pitches given the correct conditions.
The Poet represents Man and the element of Air. The Yorkshireman is the Bull, who represents Earth. The Villain, who has no known face, is the Lion, who represents Fire. And finally there is the Angel, who is represented by the Eagle and has dominion over Water. The Angel is a radiant being of West Indian heritage who is from London. She provides the most intelligent and amusing cricket commentary, but it is very difficult to characterize because you are too busy Being Not Afraid to listen properly. She was on break at the time.
