I'm not sure if I've ever done a "Hot Take" before, but I just wanted to share an observation.
There is one aspect about the retro-style grid aesthetic that I think TRON: Ares actually got better than TRON 2.0 was the kind of liminal darkness that was a recurring element in the 82' film.
At several points in the original film backgrounds will often fade to black or even be absent altogether. Giving the impression that the 82' grid wasn't entirely a location in a literal sense but a kind of ephemeral perceptual illusion. Like a dream or hallucination.
If that makes any sense.
"Hold on, I never said I was gonna contribute in kissing!"
“Who dares to touch what is mine?”
"Wait, there's a version of me who's a dad? They have time for that?"

"Jack is not gonna be an outlaw. I ain't letting him become a killer."
the amount of serial killers who take an interest in SDN employees is fuckin’ scary. Time to pick up stakes and head out. @sdnshouldpaymemore , come on- we're moving to Kord Industries
