For hours Kíli sat in his bedroom – sulking, his mum teased, which made his sourness worse – contemplating what it would mean for them. Their relationship was easy while they were together, close not just in proximity but in spirit. With Fíli going, what would happen? Kíli didn’t want the fire to fizzle out but it would, wouldn’t it? Because people were easily distracted and forgot when things weren’t right in front of them and Fíli was the worst when it came to remembering.

i can’t believe we’re here. that we’ve made it this far. that i’ve made it this far. since starting my journey into the chaotic world of fanfiction, i’ve never (n e v e r) written beyond 4 chapters. ever. even during my most teenage-obsession-fueled binges.
so, to celebrate the 20th chapter - can you believe it!? - of Dash Away, i thought i’d indulge myself and you, my beautiful readers, with something a little naughty and a lot fun: side story p*rn.
thank you so much for carrying me through this challenge with your support and feedback! it means the world to me - you’ll never know how much! enjoy the lads engaging in amorous congress, my pretties 😎

The first difference Fili noted were the few new greys woven into the dark, scruffy bun piled loosely atop Dís’ head. Her smile lines were deeper and her crowsfeet permanent for all the laughter Fili knew she loosed into the world. Otherwise, she looked the same for which Fili was profoundly grateful; he didn’t think he could bear it if she had changed too much without him.
Chapter 17
Dís was a professional event planner though she held no degree. Fresh from secondary with no idea what to do with herself, she’d been waiting tables in the city when a woman – who’d become a regular – had taken Dís under her wing and hired Dís to apprentice her. Turned out the woman had been one of the highest in-demand corporate and wedding event planners in the country. Had it not been for Dís’ ex, Kili’s father, she might’ve been living a more vibrant life.
