OFF TO FOXBURY

Unfortunately, after Frederick's services, Kel had to get on the train to start his 2nd semester at Foxbury. Time must go on.

Saying goodbye to his dads was difficult, but his hardest goodbye was to his Grams.

RAQUEL - Now I have packed you a few goodies to eat on the train, and enough to have for a week or so. You take good care of yourself, Kelvin."

KEL - Grams, you are the best, and I will do the best I can. But, you have the difficult job... taking care of my dads!"

Kel's parents, Daryl and Tatsuo have been together since their college years and have been married for 20 sim years. Their devotion to one another and their son, Kelvin has been their greatest strength.

After settling in San Sequoia, they took in Daryl's grandmother Raquel, to help raise Kel, as they both forged ahead in their careers.

DARYL- "Are you okay, Kel?"

KEL- "Yeah, it's just sad that now you and your dad start to have a relationship and then he dies. I can't believe he had all that money!"

DARYL - "I was thinking the same thing. I am glad though we made amends. Go over and check with Grams and make sure she is okay; I need to talk to your Uncle Chad."

DARYL: "Chad did you have any idea that dad had all that money?

CHAD: "No, not at all, and what little I thought he'd have it would go to Keisha. I certainly didn't think that you and I along with Raymond would get the bulk of his estate.."

After going through the house and seeing his room, Marco asked if he could paint his room, which Tat assured him that he could decorate any way he wanted. They made an agreement on the rental price and his responsibilities and the few house rules (cleaning up after yourself, and not eating their food stuffs) Marco took the room.

The next day Marco arrived, and Tatsuo greeted him and explained the housing situation, the price of his room and responsibilities. He seemed apprehensive at first, but he figured it was just his nerves, seeing how this would be his first time living away from home. When Daryl came in the room, he was somewhat surprised as he didn’t realize that Daryl lived here as well.

Two Roommates instead of one? “Two is company, three is a crowd”. This was all that was going through his head.

TAT- “So you want to see your room?”

MARCO- “Uh.. yeah sure.”

Daryl & Tat are in the middle of a dilemma. They are renting a house on campus from Tat’s dad. They had a roommate, Donnie Winchester, but he moved back home and now they need to find someone fast to rent the other bedroom to be able to afford their first months rent. They are at the coffee shop and are discussing what they are going to do...

As they are discussing, a young guy keeps walking by them. Daryl knows this kid is listening to their conversation. Tatsuo finally stops him.

TAT- “Hello? Excuse me, are you listening in on our conversation??”

MARCO- “Sorry, I wasn’t trying to eavesdrop, honestly. But I heard you were looking for a roommate?

TAT- “For someone that wasn’t eavesdropping, you seem to know exactly what we were discussing.”

DARYL- “Are you looking for a room?”

MARCO- “Actually, I am. I moved here late and there are no dorms available and I really need a place. I mean if you’d be okay with it.”

DARYL- “Sure, it’s 109 East Ave. Stop by tomorrow sometime and we can show you the room, and discuss it.”

MARCO- “Great!!  Thanks! I will do that.”

After the kid goes back to his table, Tat seemed a little nervous.

TAT- “You sure about that kid, Daryl? He looks young, maybe a first year student. And he is nosey.”

GAGE- “Daryl this is Donnie Winchester, our new roommate. Donnie, this is Daryl Pence and over at the coffee pot will be your actual bedroom partner, Tat Valliet”

DARYL- “Hey Donnie, do you actually go by that name, or do you go by Don?” 

DONNIE- “Don is my dad’s name, hence the reason I go by Donnie.”

DARYL- “Oh, okay.”

DONNIE- “Why? Is there something wrong with the name Donnie??”

DARYL- “Oh, no, not at all, it just sounds like a kids name.”

DONNIE- “Well I was a kid when they started calling me that and it stuck. Is there a reason you go by Daryl?”

DARYL- “Well, it is my name.”

DONNIE- “And Donnie is my name.”

GAGE- “Okay, then, now that we have that straightened out, Tat would you like to show Donnie your guys’ room?”
