★Death would be hesitant to allow himself to have a lover. After all he *is* death — anti life. You are life incarnate, joyous and beautiful with an unmatched determination to survive. Death is attracted to life. It follows him everywhere and it is intertwined with him. He is utterly captivated by you. He worries that letting you close will only get you hurt, though your perseverance soon wears him down.

★When he’s away from in a distant world he craves the feel and taste of your skin.

★Tender moments with him are special, it’s not like anyone else ever gets to see him so *soft.*

★Sometimes when you aren’t paying attention, he’ll use his spectral hands to run a finger down your back or graze your sides, smirking beneath his mask when you let out a gasp of surprise. This never fails to amuse him.

★Grumbles about Dust hogging your attention but is really very fond of the way you’ve bonded with him.

★You quickly get used to him grabbing you by the waist to move you out of harms way or being slung over his shoulder simply for the fun of it. ★You bicker a lot, good ol’ old married couple stuff. Full blown arguments are rare, though sometimes you may find yourself on receiving end of his flared temper. You always find your way back to each other though, unable to remain parted for long.

★Only in the pitch black will you feel his bare face press into the crook of your neck, giving a heavy exhale then breathing in your scent, brushing his lips over your pulse.

★ "Can I braid your hair?”

War knows just how fragile Y/N is. He's been around humans before, during the End War, and he saw them crumble from demon claws like dry leaves might underfoot. And worse, he's gone and fallen for such a delicate creature.

At first, he denies it. A terrible engine of war like himself, in love with the weak little human following him aroumd? It's just not possible.

He tries acting cold towards Y/N. But it's as though Y/N hasn't noticed any difference. They keep being their wonderful selves.

It tears War up inside how much his mood lifts when Y/N's eyes light up. He starts doing things to impress Y/N intentionally, just to chase that feeling.

Y/N has noticed that he will slow his pace if they're struggling to keep up. He's always looking back at them, making sure they're relatively close at all times. He denies doing this when Y/N asks.

And then he starts watching Y/N sleep. He doesn't know why- rather, he tells himself he doesn't- and when Y/N wakes up to catch him looming ominously above them, he says, "I am merely keeping watch while you sleep. It would be inconvienent if we were attacked while you rested." It does not escape Y/N's notice that it would be a lot more effective to watch for danger outside the camp.

He tends to Y/N's injuries with more care than he's ever given himself. If Y/N notices, they don't say anything and let him keep his pride.

With the kind of life they did and do, I will not be surprised at all.

I sometimes joke, when my controller chose that the RL command is not an option, that War eyes hurt cause of his sigil on his face. But to be real, It would hurt something so near the eyes and would have a kinda blurry vision too.

Death probably has a small sight problem from overwork and age related. Some minor injuries, but trying to kill him is quite difficult even without sight.

Fury probably does not have much of a problem, but in a nasty fight might have some sight problems. No injuries, just momentary situations where she lost her vision from sand and similar.

Strife is probably the one with a 11/10 vision, he's a sharp shooter and know his eyes are important and keep himself out. If something is lost he can see it. Fucker. (Kindly, a person with miopia and can't see shit)

Death, on one hand may have some sight issues, but even then it does not take away from his lethality. Being a Firstborn and a disciplined fighter, he could be completely blind and still be just as deadly.

I'd see Fury's eyesight being relatively fine? Probably might be hindered after, well... idk, maybe BEING BLINDED BY PRIDE'S FUCKING LIGHT BEAM (All in jest, all in jest^ <3)

SOME STRIFE HEADCANONS

.ᐟ He is your ride or die. Simple as that

.ᐟ You are a friends to lovers trope! Maybe a bit of friends with benefits to add a bit of spice~? (If you somehow manage to have an enemies to lovers trope with this guy, please and thank you, give me those juicy records so I can read through them)

.ᐟ Will give you cute nicknames, even if you think some of them are annoying. He also lovingly leans his weight on you, drapes on you like a cat trying to lounge in the sun - does this to be both loving and to be annoying. He knows you can't stay mad at him

.ᐟ He enjoys being a prankster and a huge tease in the relationship, so double brownie points if you can match that energy for him if you're more on the serious side. If being goofy and funny is something that comes naturally for you, the trouble you both will get into... Literal partners in crime

.ᐟ Ruffle hair warfare. Winner still to be determined but so far and due to certain disadvantages, Strife is in the lead (being 8 feet tall comes in handy)

.ᐟ You and Mayhem are two peas in a pod! That horse has charged at you so many times only to skid to a halt before you to just huff at your head and whicker playfully and snort like he played the biggest prank on you. A literal extension of his rider to which you couldn't be more grateful for (Cough, it also doesn't hurt when you watch Strife doing hoof care for Mayhem. Just a thought...)

.ᐟ That doesn't mean he can't get serious himself! He will plug a fat bullet between the eyes and several more for extra taps if so much as anyone messes with you. Super protective of you when shit goes down, you are his top priority - you have to survive

.ᐟ He knows that his scarf is a comfort item for you. If you suffer terribly with being sick, being lonely or having anxiety/panic attacks, he will wrap you in his scarf and watch as you bury your nose deeply into the fabric. It's warm, cozy and weather textured; smelling of him and his wildness but there is something so stilling - grounding about his scent

.ᐟ He LOVES it- omg he- play with his man's hair. You seriously have no idea just how much this man is touch starved but having you scratch his scalp and run your hands through his spiky hair, you'll have him purring contently. But if you tug, you're asking for trouble...

.ᐟ Is the big spoon and generally prefers to be, he likes to make you feel safe but when he's suffering from nightmares that have him thrashing in his sleep, you being there to hold him is what he truly needs. Prepare to basically have the life squeezed out of you but... anything for your loveable gunslinger

.ᐟ Speaking of which, good luck trying to get out of bed with this guy around. He's a space hogger on the bed in the way that either you will be tucked so close to him like the concept of space doesn't exist or contact between the mattress and yourself isn't a thing because he is your bed. Trying to crawl your way to freedom is nigh impossible (especially when he knows you're trying to get out of bed)

.ᐟ Get this man on a dopamine high if you stop him from walking by tugging on his scarf and planting a kiss to his face, masked or not, you'll have this man dizzy, awe struck and feeling giddy

.ᐟ Shower hog. The shower was not made for Nephilim proportions so while he is enjoying all that hot water, you're pouting under his burly form with your arms crossed. Dry. Time to upgrade!

.ᐟ The ultimate king of flirt. If you yourself are a chief in the game of flirtations then buckle up cause this man will leave you flustered and bothered

.ᐟ it’s really hard for him to say those three words… though he knows in his heart what he feels, what he tries to bury deep down and cast aside — almost clawing at his chest until it’s nothing but shedded skin and muscle — he knows what he feels. And it scares him

.ᐟ his skin is cold, very well near too cold to touch, but beneath it there is a flow of ever faint heat but it almost thrums in dull pulses; his heartbeat is there yet it is barely heard

.ᐟ Despair is quite the fearsome menace. It takes AGES for this horse to even tolerate you without the firm ire of his rider barking at him to behave himself and to keep him from nipping at you

.ᐟ Dust is more easier to get along with in the beginning, so long as you have some carrion and gentle pats in store, he’ll warm up to you quickly

.ᐟ good luck getting this guy a regular wash schedule. He takes an entire bottle of shampoo and conditioner to get his hair clean of grease and grime

.ᐟ holds you very close and pretty tightly as you sleep. Does he sleep? Nah, ever rarely. He’s gotta make sure you’re protected

I feel like Death would vibe with Dream Theater, Opeth or even Pain Of Salvation. I wanted to plaster Avenged Sevenfold to him but their songs are a bit too energetic sometimes so I scratched that off completely.

I feel like Dream Theater also might be a wild pick, but their songs have some depth to them.

(Was thinking about Leviathan too but I feel like that's a bit too extreme for Death, he seems like the old fashioned type of guy that solves sudoku by the fireplace with a blanket in his lap.)

Strife...oh Strife...he's the wild type of guy. He'd love anything AND everything. He's definitely jamming to some Freak Kitchen and probably Static-X but not really sure about that one.

But he'd totally dislike the new Freak Kitchen album, the older ones are way better. (This is just a personal opinion)

He definitely makes those edgy phonk edits.....(Do you see the vision.)

Not really sure what to add in, maybe he would also like Avenged Sevenfold, they have some nice songs that I like and that would fit his aesthetic.

Fury! My girl, my girlfriend, my wife, my everything. Well she's a tough nut to crack now. Wanted to assign Spiritbox to her because the lead singer is a very attractive woman, but their music is a bit of a mix and match. Not really sure she would relate to many of the songs.

And I ran out of bands that would fit her aesthetic so Spiritbox it is. But I feel like she'd enjoy softer music, can't list any bands since I don't move around in that genre.

War....do I have to do this guy? Ugh.

War, doesn't even listen to music. He hates the concept of music just as much as I hate him.
