Toshiro nodded as Ichigo opened the window and he hopped inside, sitting on the windowsill. “I apologize for the interruption.” Toshi said as he eyed the papers all over the floor. He didn’t know if they were really important or not, but he knew how he’d feel if those were papers of his scattered all about like that.

          “Kurosaki-kun! Look out!” Orihime warned. And without wasting any second she conjured her shield so the debris of the collapsing foundation prevented from hitting Ichigo. The strong wind caused by the falling foundation tried to push Orihime back. She could only stop it for so long and eventually, she ended up toppling on the ground.

“Ha?” Renji gives the stranger a side glance. “Who the hell’re you? Why should I give you my name?” 

Was this guy trying to flirt with him or start a fight? He couldn’t tell. “Pretty sure if ya wanted to get to know my name, there’s way better pick up lines out there,” he gives the guy a roll of his eyes.

Renji frowns as he hears the negative comment coming from his friend. Gently slinging his arms around the other’s shoulder, he pulls the other a bit closer to him.

“Hey, what’s wrong? Ya know that ya can tell me anythin’. I can’t promise I’ll be able to fix the issue fer ya, but at least I can lend a listenin’ ear.” He know though, how stressed the other must be from his double life. Living it as a normal human teenager, going through school and then living his life as a substitute shinigami, trying to save the world from ending by a couple of bastards.

Clearing his throat and swallowing nervously, Renji gives the hollow a side glance. 

“Uhh... I sure hope that yer not talkin’ about me.” He gives a nervous chuckle, trying not to let it show that he was practically sweating.

 Technically Renji wasn’t alive, but if Zangetsu so wished, he could make Renji perish with a snap of his fingers. There was no way the shinigami was going to come out a fight alive with the hollow. 

“It’s not like I’m preventin’ ya from sleeping,” Renji gives the espada an exasperated look. 

He points to the couch in the corner. “Go knock yerself out, ya weirdo. Or what, can’t sleep if someone’s not snugglin’ you?” he teased.
