Clad in a casual t-shirt and jeans, a grinning Sidney held out a bowl of sliced watermelon towards him. Grimsley discreetly tossed the fork into the darkness behind him and hoped the other dark elite hadn’t noticed the impromptu weapon.“I guess? Why do you have watermelon?”“Watermelon is fucking good, dude!”Sidney held out the bowl more insistently. Gingerly, Grimsley accepted it. He blankly stared at the other man before stepping backwards.“Do you want to come in?”The gambler laughed as Sidney lit up, his cheeks beginning to flush.“I was, actually hoping you’d ask that.”“So you brought watermelon as an offering?”“An offering? Is this a shrine now?! Oh, great shrine of goth, let me spend time with Grim.”The gambler giggled again, his own face turning red.“Call me goth and the dates off!”“So it’s a date now?”Playful smiles danced across their lips as Grimsley motioned for the taller man to join him.“Only if you want it to be,” winked the more elegant of the pair, setting down the watermelon on the counter. Sidney closed the door behind himself as he walked in and pressed a kiss to the gambler’s cheek.“I’d like that.”
