darknymoon said: I agree with you, but just by curiosity, for you, what period corresponds to the classic rock ? Because I see a lot of people putting the 80’s and even sometime 90’s bands in classic rock…
Well, in my honest opinion, Classic Rock's golden age and the heart of Rock n Roll was the 70's. It definitely was. And actually, it was the only decade that real, true music ruled everything for many lucky hearts and souls. We, the very unlucky generation, can only dream about it. c: It was heaven, it was a holy time for the world. But I think it ended when 80's began. Oh my god, 80's ruined everything. 80's suck. I hate the 80's (I mean the new "music" movement that took start in the early 80's) Tbh, it is possible to see the difference and the change by observing Queen's change in music style. Listen to Bohemian Rhapsody, or Death On Two Legs. Then listen to Radio GaGa? (its wonderful that they made The Show Must Go On and Innuendo later tho I have no word for those songs). It's so weak and far from Rock's deepest core. Or listen to Genesis! Fuck man, Let's Dance (ig that was the name of the song) after Dancing With The Moonlit Knight?! Fucking ridicilous and disappointing. We don't even have Genesis' 80's albums in our album collection because it is truly impossible to find what you had on the early Genesis albums.
To sum it up, 70's was the period of ROCK AND ROLL. But there is an exception in 80's: Metal music. That is a whole other thing to talk about ;)
